We do not publish official requirements

Photograph, signature and document specifications are set by the organisation running each form, and they change between cycles. This site does not reproduce them, because a number that was correct last year can cost you an application this year.

Our guides tell you where to find the current specification in your own notification, and the tools accept whatever values you enter. Any requirement that does appear on this site is shown with its source and the date it was checked — and you should still confirm it against your own notification.

No guarantee of acceptance

These tools resize, compress and convert files to the settings you choose. They cannot guarantee that a resulting file will be accepted by any form or authority. Acceptance depends on rules we have no visibility of, and sometimes on human judgement about photograph quality.

Check your output

Always open a downloaded file and look at it before submitting it anywhere. Confirm the size, the dimensions, the format, and that the image is clear and the right way up.
